Activist with expertise in consulting government bodies on the design and evaluation of programs and social and environmental projects, development plans and innovation in government Management, Angela is now Alliances Manager of Mutante a Latin American media outlet, the first citizen conversation movement in Colombia.

Mutante creates participatory journalism as a tool for social change, Fernanda’s work contributes to critical issues affecting communities in Colombia like gender, climate, human rights and mental health.

Taking grassroots action, Arrisa founded Doctor on Ground (DnG) to deliver integrated, community-based programmes focused on women’s health, emergency first response, and health education, particularly among refugee and stateless populations.

Her experiences on the ground, particularly during COVID-19, revealed how poverty, displacement, and systemic neglect fuel longterm health risks, especially for young women and caregivers.

Driven by a passion for equity and public health, Arissa mobilised hundreds of volunteers and healthcare professionals to deliver care, education, and emergency preparedness in some of Malaysia’s most overlooked communities.

Motivated by her lived experiences growing up in an underserved community, Christine is a public health advocate tackling adolescent and maternal health, gender inequality, and disease prevention through designing youth-centered health programs

Recognising the importance of early intervention, her work is focused on improving postnatal care, nutrition, and mental health for young mothers.

Driving health equity, Christine equips rural communities with access to health information and youth-friendly services, ensuring even the most marginalized are reached.

With a background in BioScience Engineering, Gerani is a Lecturer at the University of Aruba and PhD Candidate at Maastricht University where she’s involved with JUMP18. JUMP 18 is an NGO focusing on national childhood obesity prevention in Aruba through different pillars. Gerani’s PhD focused on assessing and creating healthy school food environments (to eventually reduce the Childhood obesity prevalence), is aligned with the research goals and objectives of the JUMP 18 program - and as such her PhD research and the nudging intervention are a collaboration between the University of Maastricht, JUMP 18 and the University of Aruba. 

Critically, Gerani’s work centres on community-based research and interactive, inclusive learning experiences that support individuals and advocates for underserved populations.

Deeply committed to improving the lives of young people affected by rare diseases, Ida is a social worker and PhD student in Social Work and Social Policy. She ensures that the voices of rare disease patients are heard and their specific needs are not overlooked within healthcare and social systems.

Motivated by her own family’s experience, she has dedicated her academic and professional path to advocating for better psychosocial support and policy development.

She serves as an expert associate and secretary of the Rare Diseases Croatia and is the vice-president of the Croatian Neurofibromatosis Association.

Turning challenges into impactful initiatives, Jakub founded Aiming for the Future Foundation, a non-profit promoting health equity, independent living and social inclusion.

Despite struggling with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) himself, he has spent his life advocating for a society where everyone, regardless of their situation, has access to the tools, knowledge and support they need to live an independent, dignified and fulfilling life.

Through the foundation, he has led national advocacy campaigns, built partnerships promoting digital inclusion, and contributes to advocacy and research at the European level as active members of EURODIS and SMA Europe.

Believing that small actions lead to real change, Karim began his experience in youth civic campaigning aimed at increasing youth civic engagement, promoting constructive dialogue, and strengthening public relations and media skills.

The significance of his work has been recognized by UNICEF, UNDP, and the Tokmok City Council. Today, Karim works to promote educational programs on the prevention of non-communicable diseases related to air pollution through visual content, social media, and communications.

With a focus on Public Health and Health Research, Luz is a Research Coordinator in the Medical School at Santa Clara de Asís University training students in health research. 

Propelled by familial losses to non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and noticing the prevalence of cardiometabolic NCDs, the leading cause of death in Paraguay, Luz develops projects for non-communicable disease prevention.

Recognising the power of research to expose health inequities, Luz contributes to health equity through health promotion, generating evidence, and enabling advocacy for public health policy.

With eight years experience in the development sector, and a background in Nutrition and Food Engineering, Mehedi leads Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition’s (GAIN’s) youth and adolescent nutrition programme in Bangladesh.

By bridging grassroots advocacy with cross-sector partnerships, he strengthens meaningful youth engagement in policymaking and youth-led action that advances nutrition and sustainable food systems through the SUN Youth Network Bangladesh.

Driving meaningful youth participation in national and international policy processes, he has engaged in key platforms such as the UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS), Nutrition for Growth (N4G), and COP.

Originally from the Middle East, having lived in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt, Shereif is now a trainee GP, strength and conditioning coach, and chair of the Rising Stars charity.

Passionate about bridging socioeconomic divides in Glasgow, Scotland, he integrates sport, education, and health to empower young people and prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in underserved communities.

Shereif brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, athletic performance, and social impact to his work supporting youth in Glasgow’s most deprived areas.

Taty is a food safety and public health specialist, dedicated to science-driven community impact. With a background in biochemistry, she has gained valuable expertise in food adulteration and dietary carcinogens. As Vice President of Agri-Food Safety and One Health Agency, she applies this knowledge to toxicological risk assessments and grassroots health initiatives.

An alumna of the Okwelians Fellowship for Young Cameroonian Leaders and the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, Taty is currently a 2025 NEF-NVRI Toxicology Intern. She is committed to advancing safe food systems and equitable healthcare across Africa.

Inspired by the urgent need to protect her generation from preventable harm, Winnie leads a youth-led advocacy project on tobacco control in Africa. Through this work she empowers youth to shape policies that directly affect their health and futures.

Through coalition building, intergenerational dialogues, and capacity strengthening, her work strives to create systems where young people are not just consulted but actively co-create equitable health solutions.

Originally from Khon Kaen Province, Ranchida is studying Political Science at Thammasat University. Known as Bell, she and her friends founded YoungRise Thailand, a youth-led organisation supported by UNICEF. YoungRise trains youth advocates using the UNICEF Youth Advocacy Guide and connects young people and youth groups from across the country.

Bell represented Thailand as a Youth Delegate at the 79^th session of the United Nations General Assembly, and is a youth advocate for decentralisation and the acceleration of youth engagement in policymaking.
