Responsibilities
As the VP, Head of Hematology Franchise for US Oncology at AstraZeneca, Nilsa Sanchez oversees all sales, marketing, and cross-functional team efforts across the hematology portfolio.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Nilsa was at Janssen Oncology where she served as Vice President, Oncology Portfolio Strategy & Execution and led a pan-oncology team across multiple brands building critical capabilities. She has been in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 20 years with a strong history of achievements and a broad range of diverse commercial experiences in sales, marketing, market access, contract strategy and pricing in the U.S. and globally in both hematology and solid tumors.
Nilsa is passionate about people development and inclusion and diversity in the workplace. Nilsa is an active member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and a member and mentor for CHIEF.
Education
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in BioPsychology and Business Marketing from the University of Akron
