Responsibilities
César Cerezo, MD, PhD leads the US Medical organization, leading medical strategy within the BioPharmaceuticals Business Unit. He is a member of the US Leadership Team and the Global BioPharmaceuticals Medical Leadership Team.
Prior Experience
César previously served in several senior leadership roles and brings more than 20 years of experience across clinical practice, academia, and industry. Most recently he was Vice President and US Medical Head for Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism at Novartis, where he led medical strategy across both in-line and pipeline programs. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles in Drug Development at Grifols and multiple US and global medical leadership roles at Amgen and Pfizer. Before entering industry, César practiced medicine for more than 15 years. He has published and lectured extensively and has served as faculty at the European University in Madrid, Spain.
