What we offer

The AstraZeneca Incubator is our way of enabling new entrepreneurs to advance their biomedical research. We do this by offering free access to our modern drug discovery labs and other onsite facilities as well as scientific and business development mentoring.

If your company develops novel drug discovery technologies or therapeutics in the areas of oncology, cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, inflammation or autoimmune diseases or neuroscience, we are interested in hearing from you.

What you get

  • Free access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and equipment
  • Mentoring from AstraZeneca and other companies within our research hub including access to business development and legal expertise
  • Full access to site amenities including conference facilities, auditorium and on-site cafeteria
  • Possibility of access to laboratory support staff and our animal facility

How to apply

Here’s what you need to know about the three-step application process.

Proposal

If you are interested in joining our vibrant research environment, start by submitting your proposal.

 

The initial incubator proposal is non-confidential in nature and is used to identify which applicants will benefit most from access to the incubator lab.

 

You will receive our feedback in 2-4 weeks.

Interview

If your proposal is aligned with the incubator lab mission, you will be invited to an interview with our scientific team. The purpose of the interview is to ensure a good fit between you and AstraZeneca.
 

This will be a science-focused discussion to enable us to learn more about your company and for you to see if the incubator would be a good fit for you.  At your request, we can enter into a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) to allow you to share more detailed information about your company.

Lab space awarded

Selected recipients will be awarded lab space and equipment for an initial 12-month contract with possibility for extension.
